GOLF: THIS year’s Chronicle Junior Cup will be held at Saddleworth on Sunday, August 23.
The event, brought to life two years ago by Crompton and Royton, has now been picked up by the district clubs with the Mountain Ash event sponsored by the Oldham Evening Chronicle and Lees Village Service Station. Tee-times are from 11am until 12.48pm, and the best nett score will earn the cup.
There are also prizes for the best gross score, top under-14 round, and leading 14-18 years’ return.
Runners-up prizes will also be handed out.
Handicap limits are 28 for boys and 36 for girls, and proof of handicap is required.
