RYAN DAVIES: star in the making
OLDHAM snooker sensation Ryan Davies made a superb impact as he shone for England under-16s in the prestigious home International tournament in Leeds.
Davies, only 13, played a major role in helping England to victory in the eight-team event. The England side remained unbeaten. The Newman College pupil had a top break of 58 - a way short of the 100 run he nailed last year.
Davies then went on to perform well at the UK Junior Billiards Championships in Leeds, where he reached the last 16 despite meeting older and more experienced players.
