THESE cute chicks have become reality TV stars at Hathershaw College.
Pupils have been watching them hatch live on the big screen at the Bellfield Avenue secondary school.
A dozen eggs were delivered to Hathershaw as part of the Living Eggs project, which allows pupils to watch them hatch and grow before the chicks are then re-homed - in this case with the school's Year 10 manager Mark Brocklehurst whose partner has a farm.
The newborns are being kept in a special brooder box and are receiving regular visits from Year 7 science students. But a live web-cam feed, which is being broadcast on the TV in school entrance, means all pupils and staff can monitor their progress.
