Guide dog puppies take the strain

PUPPY power was just the thing to help students at Oldham Sixth Form College to take their minds off their exams.

They met three guide dog puppies to find out more about what they do - and also stroke and pat them.

The event was just one of the sessions which the college has provided to help students with revision, relaxation or streets relief. Teenagers donated £3.50 to take part, raising £251 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.

Students Ellie Taylor and Abbie Lees, both 18, booked a slot to visit the guide dogs shortly before an exam.

Ellie said: "I would normally be really stressed just before an exam, but these amazing dogs took my mind off worrying."
