Building a bridge to success

BUILDING a strong bridge using only 80 paper straws and sticky tape was the challenge taken up by 60 pupils from St Matthews Primary School, Chadderton.
And the year 4 engineers successfully tackled the task when they took part in science week experiments at North Chadderton School.
Annabel Blomley, George Hartley and Maxwell Yates were crowned the winning team. Their bridge supported an impressive 3.6kg.
