Working out to raise cash
A PROFESSIONAL Thai boxer put Moorside pupils through their paces in a sponsored boxercise.
Stephen Donnelly from Titanium NW - which provides programmes for children and young people - and the Friends of St Thomas Primary School organised the fun but testing day which raised £1,061.
Half the money will go towards a defibrillator for the school and the rest will go to the Link4Pink appeal, which raises money for the breast cancer unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Helen Haigh, chairman of Link4Pink, said: “We really appreciate St Thomas's choosing us as its chosen charity this year. I would like to thank the friends and Stephen Donnelly for running this event.”
