Sending a message to next millennium

PUPILS at a Failsworth primary school have buried a time capsule at a local housing development to be opened in a thousand years.
Propps Hall Primary School’s Year Five and Six pupils have put together a few pieces of 2015 memorabilia in the hope that people of Failsworth will find it in 3015.
Children were asked to bring in the oldest, newest and most interesting object they could find in their house. The package ended up containing old coins and photographs and pictures of today’s technology such as iPads and Xboxes.
Pupils also made “Timevelopes” which contained letters about themselves, their family and what life is like today.
The capsule has been buried at the site where 13 apartments are being built on Victoria Street, Failsworth, by Stockport-based construction company CEJ Builders.
