IT was back to the classroom when “Masterchef” champion Simon Wood returned to his former school.
He showed students at Radclyffe School in Chadderton how to make fresh pasta and tasty dishes such as tortellini parcels filled with chicken, paprika and garlic.
Pupils also asked him questions about how he got into cooking — and what it was like to win the BBC title in April.
Simon said: “This was my first demonstration in a school but the staff and students made me feel very much at home. I was really pleased to come back as not only did I attend Radclyffe, but so did my children.”
Hospitality teacher Jennie Edwards added: “We are very grateful to Simon. It was really valuable experience for the pupils.”
