Alan’s study paper boosts UCO

A SENIOR lecturer at University Campus Oldham (UCO) has co-authored a research paper with a prestigious group at Oxford University.
The report, in the journal Clinical Psychological Science, highlights the results of studies involving people overly sensitive to worry.
Dr Alan Yates, UCO’s senior lecturer in psychology and co-author of the paper, said: “The BSc (Hons) psychological studies programme provides students with fascinating insight into the human mind and how psychology can be applied to everyday life.”
The paper suggests a link between the ability to concentrate and the ability to suppress repeated negative thoughts.
