Four in five pupils hit SATs target

THE number of Year Six pupils leaving Oldham’s primary schools with the expected standard of reading, writing and maths has remained static.

Eighty per cent of 11 year olds achieved level four in each of the three subjects is this year’s key stage three tests - no change from last year. The figure is the same as the national average. But it means around 630 Oldham children will start secondary school on Wednesday needing to catch up.
