PUPILS from across Oldham took part in a range of fun experiments to bring science to life.
Around 300 primary and secondary school students attended a science exhibition and fair at the Regional Science Centre.
The event was part of the Big Bang programme of UK-wide events to get pupils excited about science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem).
Aimed at those who are interested in the subjects, it was organised by Oldham Sixth Form College, Oldham Business Leadership Group, Engineering UK and the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
Pupils took part in workshops with industry experts and there was also a range of stalls promoting science.
The day also included a Stem business networking meeting and presentations about the State of Engineering Report 2016, which found that education in the UK does not have the growth needed to meet the demand for skilled engineers and technicians.
