Lilywhites looking to 're-group'

MOSSLEY are desperately in need of a pick-me-up as they prepare for tomorrow's Evo-Stik League Division One North clash at fellow strugglers Ramsbottom United.

The Lilywhites have endured a miserable few weeks.

Tuesday night saw them beaten 3-1 at Farsley Celtic after traffic congestion severely hindered their journey to Leeds.

That came after the same opponents knocked Mossley out of the FA Trophy last weekend at Seel Park, when indiscipline proved costly.

Joint-boss Peter Band, whose side have lost their last four games in all competitions, said: "We just can't seem to put 90 minutes together at the moment.

"We're creating chances, but silly mistakes and poor discipline are costing us.

"We were competing well with Farsley in the Trophy game, but then Tom Pratt got sent off for kicking out and our bubble burst.

"We need to re-group and get back to winning ways as soon as possible."

Ramsbottom are surprise strugglers this term.

'SHOCKED'
Band added: "Considering the money they're paying out on player wages I am shocked to see them where they are in the table (15th).

"Hopefully we can take advantage of their poor form tomorrow."

Mossley have signed striker Dale Jennings from Winsford United in a bid to pep up their attacking options.

Meanwhile, former Lilywhites hitman Mitchell Bryant - another who has had disciplinary problems in the past - is mulling over a possible return to Seel Park following a stint at Trafford.

FOR the fourth match in a row, CHADDERTON are in knock-out action tomorrow.

Following last weekend's 6-3 Hallmark Security League Macron Cup win at Holker Old Boys, and earlier FA Vase and Manchester Premier Cup losses to AFC Emley and FC United respectively, Mark Howard's men travel to Charnock Richard's Mossie Park ground for a Reusch First Division Cup second-round clash.
