Super Cooper!

OLDHAM and Royton Harrier Harrison Cooper showed his class as he triumphed at the latest Alexandra Park junior parkrun.

It was a close race in foggy conditions as Cooper was the first across the line in eight minutes, 52 seconds.

Jake Jackson finished in 9:46, with Matthew Cooper home in 10:14, Theo Billington in 13:06 and Warren Billington in 13:29.

At the adult parkrun, Tony Muir ran well in 18:49, with Lee Robinson chasing him all the way to the line in a new best time of 18:50.

Maria Wall set a new best time for the Oldham course in 22:33, followed by Angie Hart and Sara Bott - both in 26:51 - and Keith Pleasant in 28:47.

At Chadderton Hall parkrun, Helen Grochowina ran well to clock a time of 31:54.

Amy Hallett had a good run at Heaton Park in 22:44 and Luz Whitworth travelled to Rochdale for the Watergrove parkrun and finished in 33:96.

Anne-Marie Lord ran the Glossop run in 23:21 and John and Julie Felton ran at Stamford Park Ashton, with John finishing in 23:37 and Julie in 29:37.

There were some great runs from Harriers at the Sale Harriers indoor track meeting at SportCity, where Harry Collier set a new personal best in the 600m in 1:32.8.

Sophie Hall set a new high jump best with 1.60m.

Jason Hoyle ran his fastest time at 300m in 35.4s, and also ran the 60m in 7.24s.

Ryan Hall finished his 60m race in 7.35s.
