GREENACRES-based MMA cage fighter Callum MacDonald enhanced his reputation in the tough sport still further as he won the Golden Ticket Promotions British bantamweight title in some style in Wolverhampton.

MacDonald (26) won his second British title - following last November's FightStar Championship success - as he took out home favourite Miles Richards after just 25 seconds at a packed-out Diamond Banquet Suite.

'The Mac' said: "I'm absolutely buzzing. To go down and win the title in such style in Richards' back yard was brilliant for me.

"To be honest he was dishing out plenty of stick at the weigh-in the day before the fight.

"He was pressed up against my nose saying how he was going to knock me out in the first round.

"That made my victory all the sweeter.

"He was apologetic after the fight. He should have shown me a bit more respect."

MacDonald now has an impressive MMA record of five wins and just two defeats from seven fights. All of his victories have come inside the first round.

He will return to the ring for another British title scrap on April 1, when he takes on UK fifth-ranked fighter Danny Strik at the O2 Academy in Leeds.
