WATERHEAD Warriors are showing excellent early-season form in Division Three of the National Conference League.

The Peach Road club made it two wins out of two thanks to a 50-12 demolition of visitors Stanley Rangers.

Boasting a healthy 22-6 lead at the break, Waterhead pressed home their advantage with a destructive second-half display.

Luke Du Feu, Alan Williamson and Matt Fogarty recorded a brace of tries each. Michael Bennett, Tom McMullen, Jake Chadwick and Jamie Mayall also went in.

Terry Fitzgerald, with five goals, completed the points tally for Waterhead.

Meanwhile, Saddleworth Rangers kicked-off their Division Two campaign in style with a 33-21 win at home to Oulton Raiders.

With Josh Bradbury shining bright, Rangers surged into an 22-4 lead after only 20 minutes, with tries from Gareth Morgan, Gavin Dodd, Ben Whitehead and Adam Jeffrey. Whitehead slotted over three goals.

Ollie Kerr added another Rangers try before the break, and although Raiders got within half-a-dozen points 13 minutes in the second half, the hosts pulled clear again for a winning start to their season.

Dodd touched down again, with Whitehead notching a conversion and field goal.
