SADDLEWORTH Rangers emerged from their home clash with Millom as comfortable winners.

But that wasn't the whole story of a well-contested Division Two match, in which the Cumbrian visitors put on a determined show up until two late tries added a gloss to the final 30-0 result.

Hooker Harry Godfrey went over first first for the hosts after seven minutes, with man-of-the-match Adam Jeffrey getting the next midway through the opening half. Josh Bradbury converted twice for a 12-0 lead.

Gavin Dodd was next to cross, but the next success was after 76 minutes when Tom Dransfield went over, followed two minutes later by Danny Bowker, Bradbury adding two more conversions as Rangers made it three wins for the season.

WATERHEAD Warriors went down to a 42-20 defeat at Eastmoor Dragons in Division Three.

However, the Peach Road club did well to recover at one stage from 18-0 down to be only 18-16 behind.

Tom Bentley got a hat-trick for Eastmoor and there was a try and seven goals from Adie Mulcahy added to scores by Caine McVittie, Danny Johnson and Jamie Dodds.

Waterhead got their points through tries from Michael Bennett, Liam Aspin, Tom O'Halloran and Danny Wheeler, with Jamie Mayall kicking two conversions.
