PLAYERS, parents and officials enjoyed a terrific day at Athletic's SportsDirect.com Park as 3D Dynamos celebrated their 25th anniversary in style.
Teams from the under-sevens age group through to veterans got stuck into back-to-back friendly matches on the pitch, as the weather remained kind throughout.
AWARDS
Former Latics star Kenny Clements was the guest of honour and was on hand to present the player of the match awards. He was joined for a while at the stadium by Athletic's legendary former manager Joe Royle.
A special award was given Val and Dave Broadbent, who started 3D Dynamos in 1992 when they formed a junior team for their son to play in.
Val said: "It was an amazing day, and to think we started 25 years ago with only three teams."
