DELPH welterweight hopeful Andy Kremner is desperate to start making up for lost time after 18 months out of the boxing ring.

Kremner, now 24, boasts a perfect six wins from six record in the professional ranks, but he hasn't fought since October, 2015, when convincingly out-pointing Danny Little at Manchester's Victoria Warehouse.

Since then he has been forced out of action due to a niggling shoulder injury, but now he's back and will fight at the Bolton Whites' Hotel at Bolton Wanderers FC on Friday, May 19.

Kremner said: "I just can't wait to get back in now. It's been a long time and I really need to get going again.

"I know I've been out for a while, but I'm feeling 110-per-cent now and I need to step up my career.

'START'

"I want to get more fights in, more rounds in, and people will then start to see the best of me.

"I'm already thinking titles. I'd take on central area champion Adam Ismail now. I know I could beat him and in a 10-rounder I'd have too much for him.

"Fitness is definitely one of my best attributes, and always has been."

Former amateur star Kremner switched trainers from John Murray to Matthew Hatton in January, and the local prospect has noticed significant differences after four months at the Stockport gym.

"It's great to be working with such a respected guy now, someone who himself fought at the highest level," added Kremner.

'TRAINING'

"Matt has brought me on a lot. His training is a lot more technical, it's not been all about going in there gung-ho.

"We've looked at working your way into a fight, and a lot on defence. These things are all adding to my game.

"Matt believes it's time for me to kick on now. I need to get a run going again."

A cracking VIP Promotions bill is in prospect in Bolton on May 19.

Failsworth's Danny Wright also features on a show topped by Middleton ace Zelfa Barrett.
