In-form Avro maintain early-season promise

AVRO have soon settled into life in their new Vestacare Stadium home and are currently flying high at the top of the Manchester League Premier Division table after stretching their early-season winning streak to four from four games.
Avro defeated newly promoted Prestwich Heys reserves 2-0 on Saturday, before edging out local rivals Royton Town 3-2 in a midweek fixture.
STRIKES
Town won 2-0 at AFC Monton at the weekend thanks to strikes from Josh Henthorn and Cameron Homer.
Newly-promoted Heyside are currently third in the table.
They won 4-1 at Stockport Georgians on Saturday, before edging out derby rivals Springhead 2-1 in midweek.
Springhead earlier drew 2-2 at home against Manchester Gregorians.
Ryan Fagan and Ryan Hanson were the goalscorers.
In Division One, Chadderton's second string lost 5-1 at Chapel Town, while Hollinwood were beaten 5-3 at home by Wilmslow Albion.
Loma Kuzende, Aleem Salim and Joe Hingira scored for 'Wood.
Uppermill lost 2-1 at home against Radcliffe Juniors in Division Two.
Daniel Gartside scored the consolation goal from the penalty spot.
