Harry pockets gold-medal haul

HARRY ENTWISTLE struck gold three times for Oldham Aquatics in the Harrogate District A & B Grade Meet.

The youngster clinched victory in the 14-years A grade 200m individual medley, 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle as Oldham picked up 79 medals in total.

Holly Bradbury struck gold in the 15-years and over 50m breaststroke. She also captured silvers in the 50m and 100m freestyle and a bronze in the 50m butterfly.

In the 13-years age group, James Salt secured silver in the 50m and 400m freestyle, while team-mate Oliver Coverley won a silver in the 200m IM and bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Jack Slater took a bronze in the 50m and 200m backstroke.

Nicola Farrell won gold in the 12-years 400m freestyle, and added bronze medals in the 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

Team-mate Francesca Chiappe was victorious in the 200m breaststroke and collected silvers in the 50m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 200m backstroke, while Bethany Peak earned a bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Caitlin Wareing won the 11-years 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle and was runner-up in the 100m butterfly.

Olivier Askew won golds in the 200m butterfly and 200m backstroke. He also bagged a bronze in the 100m breaststroke, while Sarah Loft picked up a bronze in the 50m freestyle.

Rachael Gorman earned three golds in the 15-years and over B grade section, in the 50m backstroke, 200m freestyle and 200m IM.

She added silvers in the 50m breaststroke and 100m freestyle and bronzes in the 200m backstroke and 50m butterfly. Holly Bradbury collected a further gold in the 100m breaststroke.

Sam Hill had to settle for four silver and four bronze medals.

The silvers were in the 200m IM, 200m freestyle, 50m and 200m butterfly, while thirds came in the 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle.

Helen Richards picked up silver in the 200m freestyle and bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Oliver Coverley won gold in the 13-years 100m butterfly and 100m breaststroke, adding a silver in the 200m butterfly.

James Lait finished first in the 400m freestyle and was second in the 200m backstroke.

Isaac Doxey won the 200m backstroke, Peter Cunningham was second in the 100m freestyle and third in the 200m IM and 200m butterfly.

Rebecca Lewis collected silvers in the 12-years 100m butterfly and 200m freestyle. She also picked up bronze medals in the 200m IM and 200m breaststroke, while Beth Fox earned a bronze in the 400m freestyle.

Sam Marsden won silver in the 50m freestyle and bronzes in the 50m backstroke and 100m breaststroke.

Sara Loft was a triple gold medal in the 11-years 100m and 400m freestyle and 200m IM.

Team-mate Issy Hibbert picked up a gold in the 50m freestyle to go with a bronze in the 200m butterfly, while Caprice Mitchell added a further gold in the 200m breaststroke.

Lauren Tindall struck gold in the 10-years 200m IM, and added a silver to her haul in the 50m backstroke.

Amy Cunningham collected gold in the 200m butterfly and silver in the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle. Fleur Mitchell scooped a silver in the 200m breaststroke.

Sammy Ireland won golds in the 200m IM and 400m freestyle adding a silver in the 50m freestyle and bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Silvers were picked up by Michael Entwistle in the 200m backstroke and Henry Coverley in the 200m breaststroke.

The final medals went to Adam Cocker, who grabbed a gold in the nine-years 200m IM and bronze in the 200m freestyle.
