CRICKET: MICHAEL Brooks was forced to watch from the sidelines as Uppermill played two of their most important games of the season so far.
The all-rounder missed both the LCB Cup quarter-final defeat by Littleborough and the last-four loss at the hands of Greenfield because of strained ligaments in a shoulder.
Brooks sustained the injury while fielding, ironically against Greenfield, in a league game at the end of last month.
