THAI YOUR BEST . . . Leyton Collymore and his sister Breanna have been handed international call-ups.
THAI BOXING:
Oldham brother and sister Leyton (16) and Breanna Collymore, seven years his junior, are in the Great Britain squad at the Thai Boxing World Championships in Latvia.
A string of superb performances in national and regional tournaments convinced selectors to include the duo for the trip overseas.
For both competitors, it is their first international call-up.
Mum Angela said: “Leyton is North-West champion, English champion and Celtic champion in the 67 kilo division. Breanna competes at 38 kilo and is champion of England and Great Britain in her age group.
“They were both so happy to receive a Great Britain call-up and obviously we are ever so proud of them.
“We know they will take a lot away from the experience. They have earned this opportunity and are sure to give it their best shot.”
