SPRINGHEAD produced a dismal Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Premier Division performance at Stockport Georgians, but were still unfortunate to lose 1-0.
The local side dominated the game from start to finish without ever getting out of second gear.

Lacklustre Springhead were eventually punished with the home side’s only real effort on goal..

A SECOND-HALF capitulation saw Oldham Hulmeians concede four goals as they lost 5-2 at Littleborough Juniors in Division Two of the Lancashire Amateur League.
In what turned out to be only Hulmeians’ third defeat of the season, and their heaviest for more than a year, they started well with Danny Pauley, Jordan Scholes and Chris Hadfield all missing great chances.

Oldham's early dominance was rewarded after 20 minutes when Scholes crossed for Jordan Schofield to powerfully head home his eighth goal of the season. The table-topping visitors extended their lead when Tommy Bunn swivelled and drove the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Ten minutes before the break a Littleborough midfielder rifled home past Matt Wheelton.

Oldham never got out of first gear in the second half and were soon to be punished when two sloppily-conceded free-kicks were both dispatched to make it 3-2 to the hosts.

The Maroons never recovered and Littleborough were soon 4-2 up. A late counter-attack from the home side saw them score their fifth goal.

IN the Premier Division, Chaddertonians and Failsworth Dynamos both slipped to home defeats.
Old Boltonians won 5-1 in Chadderton and Horwich Victoria prevailed 4-2 in Failsworth.
