Sharp-shooter Hobin is the Rifle hero

RYAN Hobin was virtually unstoppable as he scored six goals for Rifle Range ‘A’ in the Midas Heating and Plumbing Supplies Oldham Sunday League Jack Abbott Premier Division.

Range thumped Jolly Carter 11-0 as Hobin took the majority of the plaudits, while Nathan Eastmond (three), Jonny Munson and Ryan Fagan also registered.

Damian Schofield and Ash Ainsworth both scored twice as Famous King George beat Coppice United ‘A’ 6-4. Matty Barlow and Liam Worthington also netted for the victors, while Adnin Zubair (two), Khaser Ahmed and Shabbir Ali replied.

Joe Heap bagged a treble in Limeside King George’s 4-1 success at Legends. Grant Marshall also pounced, while R Siddall hit back for Legends.

David Giblin Division One action saw Dog and Partridge and Saddleworth FC draw 1-1 (see Match of the Day).

Damien McKenzie, Andrew Simpson and Scott Ashton scored for Springhead Libs ‘A’ as they

prevailed 3-1 at Kenyon, for whom Gavin Sewart replied.

Rifle Range ‘B’ edged out Limeside Athletic by the odd goal in seven.

Nathan Barker (two), Jacob Davis and John Simms scored for Range, with Dave Shaw, Ashlet Street and Jordan Fitzpatrick hitting back for Athletic.
