JOINT-managers Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison have promised to take stern action if Mossley’s awful disciplinary record doesn’t improve.
The Lilywhites have received four red cards in their last two games — making it six for the season. Band has spoken of his fury after defender Phil Drummond was sent off for the second match in succession at Northwich Victoria on Saturday.
Band said: “I snapped after the game. Phil got himself sent off after 20 minutes so we’re always going to be up against it when you’re a man down for so long.
“Fair play to the substitutes that came on and worked their socks off to try to keep us in the game, but overall these red cards are costing us in more ways than one.
“The money we made by winning our first Trophy match is going straight back out to pay fines. The players get fined by the club, too.
“They won’t be getting paid, and Lloyd and I have told them that if they don’t like that, then they can go and find another club.”
Suspensions don’t start until next week, so ahead of tonight’s home Evo-Stik Division One North clash against Prescot Cables (7.45pm), it is just injuries that are hindering the team.
