MOSSLEY were pegged back by a 90th-minute equaliser from visitors Wakefield in the Evo-Stik League Division One North.

Being held 2-2 by the second-bottom Yorkshiremen will do little to boost confidence for the stuttering Lilywhites, but they are still 12 points clear of the drop zone with nine games left to play.

Richard Bennett got Mossley off to a good start as he scored after 16 minutes. But two minutes later Wakefield evened things courtesy of Robert Bordman.

Tom Pratt restored Mossley’s lead from the penalty spot, but after missing a number of chances to kill off Wakefield, the visitors scored as the game entered stoppage-time.

The Lilywhites are next in action on Saturday, away at Cammell Laird.

CHADDERTON put up a great fight at North-West Counties League First Division high-fliers Formby, but were sunk 1-0. Kieron Brislen bagged the all-important goal on the hour mark.

Chaddy return to action next Saturday with a home game against Widnes Vikings.

OLDHAM BORO were without a fixture at the weekend, but are in action tonight with a home game against Nelson (7.45pm kick-off). Fifteenth-placed Boro face a stiff task against the current league leaders.
