Six friendlies for Chaddy

NON-LEAGUE Football: CHADDERTON’S first team are back in pre-season training, and six summer friendlies have been lined up.

They kick-off with four away fixtures, at Runcorn Town (Saturday, July 12), Wythenshawe Town (July 15), Buckley Town (July 19) and Golcar Town (July 22), before rounding off with two home games against Tameside pair Mossley (July 26) and Ashton United (July 29).

The North-West Counties League First Division opening-day fixtures have been announced, and on Saturday, August 2, Chaddy will travel to Daisy Hill.

Oldham Boro – who will be based again at Atherton – open with a home fixture against Cheadle Town.

In the draw for the preliminary round (North) of the First Division Trophy, Chadderton were handed a trip to Ashton Town. Boro received a bye.

If Chaddy beat Ashton, they will travel to Daisy Hill in the first round (North), while Boro host Rochdale Town.

In the League Challenge Trophy first-round draw, Chadderton were handed another trip to Ashton Town, with Boro again given a bye. In the second round, Chaddy would host West Didsbury and Chorlton if they see off Ashton, while Boro are at home to Bootle.

The Trophy ties will all be played in September and October.
