CRICKET: DELPH concluded their Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership campaign with a disappointing two-run defeat at Barkisland.
Taking first knock, the hosts scored 126 all out, with Greg Buckley taking four for 13 and Jamshad Ahmad four for 60. However, Delph crumbled to just 124 all out in their reply.
Arron Lilley top-scored with 51 as Grant Jones’s side were to end their 2014 season in fourth place.
WOODHOUSES finished in eighth spot in the Greene King Lancashire County League following their defeat against Denton St Lawrence, who won the title on the final day at Belfields.
Woodhouses batted first, but could only reach 139 all out. St Lawrence cruised to their title-clinching target for the loss of just one wicket.
