FOOTBALL: SPRINGHEAD joint-manager Lee McAllister wasn’t a happy man after his side’s “inept” performance against Stockport Georgians.
The home side trailed 2-0 after 15 minutes - and there were few signs the side would recover.
Said the coach: “It was a poor game and we were really inept. After going two down early on, we just didn’t look like we would score.”
It was dire stuff from Springhead for the rest of the match, and McAllister added: “I’d like to think we could challenge at the top of the table, but I’m not setting any targets.
It doesn’t get any easier for Springhead tomorrow as they travel to play table-topping Wythenshawe Amateurs, who have won all four of their opening league games.
ANDY Revill has stepped aside as joint-manager of Springhead due to work commitments, but will stay involved at the club. Liam Boden has been promoted from the reserves to assist McAllister.
