Non-league football: MOSSLEY produced an incredible late turnaround as they secured a breath-taking 4-3 victory at Farsley.

A goal behind deep into stoppage-time, Mitchell Bryant and Josh Granite produced two quick goals to stun the hosts at Throstle’s Nest as Lilywhites went on to bag the most unlikely of victories.

The three points lifted Mossley into seventh place in the league.

Dean Warburton opened the scoring for Mossley, only for James Riley to make it 1-1 at the interval. Jason St Juste fired Farsley into the lead, but Andy Keogh responded quickly to make it 2-2.

When sub Marcus Edwards made it 3-2 to the hosts in the 88th minute, it looked as though Mossley were heading for defeat. Up popped Bryant and Granite to silence the home fans with their dramatic late double salvo.

The Lilywhites are back in league action tomorrow when they entertain Scarborough Athletic (7.45pm kick-off).

CHADDERTON’S woe continued as they were on the wrong end of another knock-out hammering.

Hot on the heels of the midweek 8-0 thumping by Hyde in the Manchester Premier Cup, Chaddy were thrashed 6-2 at Ashton Town in the North-West Counties League Men United Cup first-round

(formerly the First Division Trophy).

Danny Murray and James Curley struck for the visitors. Chadderton are back in league action at the weekend, as are Oldham Boro, who didn’t play on Saturday.
