Non-league football:
MOSSLEY’S recent resurgence was halted as they were thumped 4-0 at home by Kendal Town in the Evo-Stik League Division One North at Seel Park.
Three league victories had fired the Lilywhites into fourth place in the table, where they remain; but Kendal exacted revenge for a 3-2 defeat at home a fortnight earlier.
Kieron Pickup, Craig Carney (two) and Mark Jackson scored the goals for the visitors.
Mossley return to league action on Saturday when they travel to Burscough.
OLDHAM BORO returned to the bottom of the North-West Counties League First Division table after losing 2-1 at Eccleshall.
Boro, who have won only once this season, thought they had earned a point when Reece Hardie scored late to make it 1-1 after Jimmy Gartside's first-half opener.
But Matt Llouns-Johnson struck in stoppage-time to hand the hosts victory.
Things get worse for CHADDERTON, who were thumped 5-0 at Cammell Laird 1907.
Craig Cairns (three), Joe Evans and Dan O’Brien scored against a Chaddy side who have now lost seven games on the spin and shipped 19 goals in their last three.
Boro host Northwich Flixton Villa in the league on Saturday, while Chaddy welcome Abbey Hey in the FA Carlsberg Vase second qualifying round.
