Date published: 03 October 2014

MICK Diskin was the winner of the Clifford Winterbottom memorial match on the two Twingate AC pools. On peg five (top pool), he had 15lb 7oz of carp. Diskin and Wayne Cheeseman claimed the pairs prize with 21lb 5oz. The day raised £640 for Dr Kershaw’s.

GILDERS rod Richard Rawsthorne won Tuesday’s Old Hough Farm open on Prospect Lake.

Andy Dyson had to settle for second spot from the end peg as his bag tipped the scales at 54lb 7oz.

ANOTHER Gilders rod, John Lees, picked up the main money in the Medlock Bridge Saturday open on the Park Lake. Tip tactics worked well for Lees, who netted 9lb 15oz of skimmers and chub.

The latest Medlock Bridge AC open on the Park Lake saw match-winner Mick Molly attract the venue’s skimmer and chub populations for 13lb 1oz.

I TOOK part in the Todmorden AS open on the Rochdale Canal and managed to win with 4lb 9oz 8drams net, which included two small tench, seven roach and a solitary perch on caster and chopped worm.
