ALL-ROUNDERS Matt and Joe Taylor have left Werneth to join fellow Lake Garage CLL club Littleborough.
They made their decisions in the wake of Werneth’s relegation to the championship this season.
Matt, first-team captain at the Coppice for the last two seasons, said he and his cousin, both 23, wanted to improve as players and cricket in the CLL’s premier division was a necessity.
“I have been at Werneth since I was seven. Werneth is my club and always will be, but I want to improve myself as a player and Premier Division cricket at Littleborough with the likes of Clinton Perren and Chris Schofield will help me do that,” said Matt.
“I am sure I will learn a lot from Clinton and he will help me improve. I really appreciate everything Werneth have done for me and I did help to get them up to the Premier Division last season before we were relegated this time.”
