‘A’ team’s misery as ‘B’ turn on the style

TABLE TENNIS:
REIGNING champions Glodwick ‘A’ suffered the indignity of losing 10-0 to their own ‘B’ team in Division One of the Oldham Table Tennis League. James Chappell, Khamal Hussain and Daniel Clarke did the damage.
Werneth ‘A’ had a tremendous 9-1 win over bottom team Rosehill with trebles from Mick Pellow and Mandy Winskill and a double from Karen Hill. Andy Perry replied for the visitors.
Performance of the week in Division Two came from Hollinwood ‘B’, who defeated top-of-the-table Unison ‘A’ 6-4 thanks to a treble from George Jones and one win each from Jack Christian and Joe Redikin. Mike Brierley and Steve Collins won two each for the home side.
Second-placed Uppermill ‘A’ had a good 9-1 win over bottom team Hollinwood ‘C’ and Honeywell ‘D’ came away with an excellent 8-2 success at Hyde ‘B’ thanks to three victories from Mike McNulty.
