MICK Flint, Andy Williamson, Michael Challen and Steven Hunt combined to win the closing-day team medal at Crompton and Royton with a 14-under-par return of 126.

In doing so they qualified for the 2015 Mail On Sunday national knock-out competition. Runners-up on 127 were Jason Webster, Alistair Cameron, Kris Sutcliffe and Mike Shaw.



THE Oldham Rabbits League season concluded with President’s Day at Houldsworth Golf Club which provided great hospitality and a pristine course.

The President’s Bowl was won by Brookdale’s Steve Hardwick with 38 points, a victory he supplemented by lifting the league’s Rabbit Of The Year Trophy. League officials believe it is the first time the double has been achieved.

The day was concluded with the annual meeting at which plans were put in place for 2015.

THE final of the Oldham Gems singles knock-out will be between Steve Smith and Barrie Robinson after their respective wins against Dave Price and Geoff Allen.



MARY Buckley and Linda Hall defeated Chris Peirson and Julia Wild 4&2 to win the Edith Antrobus Trophy at Oldham.

Jane Antrobus clinched the Buckley Cup at the same course with a one up victory over Jill Nolan.
