ANDY Kremner is hoping not taking himself too seriously will prove the secret to future success.
The 22-year-old Delph light-welterweight prospect has started his professional career with three wins, the most recent a convincing points success against Danny Donchev at Trafford Park in November.
That match was preceded by ‘Krem de la Krem’ making his noisy ringwalk in a trademark top hat, tails and bow tie - a gimmick dreamed up by his trainer John Murray
“It gets people chuckling,” said Kremner, “and people want to be entertained. It puts smiles on faces.”
Kremner has been pleased with his efforts as a pro so far. His fourth pro fight has been confirmed, but not his opponent, for the Victoria Warehouse venue on March 14.
He said: “My progress has been brilliant. I’ve got better with each fight, but it is just a learning curve at the moment.”
