Strength in depth key to an easy win

NETBALL:
SOME of Oldham’s younger squad members were given their chance in a 55-32 North-West Premier League defeat of Warrington.
Play was even in the first quarter until Oldham scored five goals to lead 14-9, Lucy Stevenson accounting for all the points.
The second quarter saw Amelia Hall go to GA and Amy Neild WA, and Oldham quickly adapted to the combination and prevented Warrington from putting them under as much pressure.
Fast netball by by Rachael Taylor and Hall put Oldham on the front foot at times as Oldham stretched their second-quarter lead to 28-16.
Warrington managed to reply with four unanswered goals of their own, but Oldham went into the last quarter at a commanding 42-23.
