Legends of Lees 3, Streetbridge 0
FOOTBALL: LEGENDS Of Lees made it 12 wins out of 12 as they saw off Streetbridge in the Martin Buckley Second Division of the Midas Plumbing and Heating Oldham Sunday League at Snipe Clough.
But Legends were made to work hard for their latest victory by a spirited Streetbridge side - who had lost 13-0 in the reverse fixture.
Andrew Baldwin set Legends on their way with a sweetly-struck 18-yard volley on the half-hour mark, but Streetbridge served notice of their intent when striker Shaun Renshaw sent a thunderous drive against the crossbar.
Andrew Fulham increased Legends’ lead after 63 minutes with a typical goal-poacher strike from 10 yards. Legends made sure of the points 10 minutes from time when Fulham converted from the penalty spot after Mark Hopwood was brought down in the box by Jordan Wilson.
