CENTRAL Lancashire League clubs will play a waiting game over the proposed Greater Manchester pyramid system.
Talks continue about the format and a prospectus is due to be launched at Old Trafford at the end of next month.
Some delegates thought the CLL should go down the road of trying to attract new clubs to the league, but it was decided that nothing should happen until member clubs had seen what was in the propectus.
A special CLL meeting could be called to discuss the contents of the Greater Manchester document.
The CLL had approached the Lancashire League about a possible merger, but member clubs from that league rejected the idea.
NORDEN’S Dexter Fitton is the new manager of the CLL’s Inter-League representative team. The CLL will entertain the Bolton League in the first round of the Reader Inter-League Competition, the date and venue still to be confirmed.
ADMISSION prices to CLL matches this summer will be the same as last season. They are £3 (£1.50 concessions) for league games, £4 (£2) for JW Lees Bitter Wood Cup games until the final, £5 (£2.50) for the final, and £2 (£1) for T20 matches up to finals day when it will be £5 (£2.50), which will cover the semi-finals and final.
