OLDHAM teenage ace Aqib Fiaz was in great form as he secured victory in the National Association of Boy’s and Girls’ Clubs’ national quarter-finals.
Fiaz, who trains under the guidance of Joe Pennington at Northside ABC, secured a unanimous points decision against Merseyside and Cheshire champion Jack Jones from the Wildcard ABC at the Croxteth Sports Hall in Liverpool.
Fiaz now heads to the NABGC semi-final stages on Saturday week where he will take on the victors from the Yorkshire versus Tyne and Wear clash.
Fiaz will hope to earn selection for England when he attends a training camp in Sheffield shortly before Christmas.
