FOOTBALL: LAURIE England bagged a couple of goals as Top House roared to a 4-1 win at FC Failsworth in the Oldham Sunday League Challenge Cup.
Alan Beckett and Carl Caffrey completed House’s tally.
In the Jack Abbott Premier Division Shield, Limeside King George saw Joe Heap score the only goal of the game in their win against Crown FC.
There were plenty of goals scored in the two David Giblin Division One Shield matches which took place.
Springhead Libs hammered Old Skool 7-2 thanks to goals from Mabz Miah (two), Adam Bray (two), Michael Garside, Ben Cullen and Ben Maher. And Royton Athletic cruised to a 3-0 victory against Manchester Swifts thanks to strikes from Dany Hitchens, Liam Siddall and Jamie Clark.
