GREENFIELD'S Ladhill Lane ground is the venue for this season's Tom Hardman Twenty20 Cup finals day on August 21 - and the home club get proceedings under way.

Chris Gill's side face local rivals Saddleworth in the opening last-four tie at 10am.

The other semi-final sees the sole Championship representative Friarmere take on Monton and Weaste at 1.30pm, with the final to follow on at approximately 5.30pm.

However, Monton's participation in the Pennine Cricket League's T20 competition and continued interest in the LCB Cup has caused an unfortunate fixture clash.

The Welbeck Road club are due to face Farnworth in the last four of the LCB Cup on the same day.

Monton chairman Gary Brown said: "We're optimistic the situation will be resolved.

"We've spoken to Paul Bryson at the Lancashire Cricket Board and Farnworth and are hopeful of switching the date of the semi-final.

"It is difficult to fit everything in as there so many fixtures."

More immediately, finals day in the PCL's third XI T20, the Roydes Trophy, takes place at Milnrow on Sunday.

Saddleworth are again involved - they play Ashton at 10am - with the Ladyhouse hosts meeting Littleborough at 1.30pm. The final will be held later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Norden will fly the flag for the PCL at the ECB National area finals day at Fleetwood on August 7.

They face Westhoughton, from the Bolton League, in the second semi-final. The other game is between Fleetwood and Ormskirk.
