Manchester League round-up

SPRINGHEAD have started their Manchester League Premier League season with hard-fought back-to-back wins.
The opening day saw Lee McAllister's men defeat Wythenshawe Amateurs 2-1 thanks to strikes from Ryan Fagan and Kion Pryce.
A crowd of more than 150 then watched on as 'Head won a derby thriller at Ashfield Crescent, 5-4 against Royton Town.
Fagan, Leighton Stephenson (three) and Pryce scored for the victors, with Wayne Dean (three) and Craig Schuman hit back for Town in a game which was a terrific advert for local league football.
Town beat Old Alts 2-1 on Saturday thanks to goals from Lee Knowles and Andrew Stafford.
Avro began their top-flight campaign with a 3-1 win at Rochdale Town, before then losing 1-0 at Manchester Gregorians in midweek.
Leon Iloube scored four times for Chadderton reserves as they won 6-1 at Heywood St James in Division One.
They then drew 4-4 with local rivals Uppermill in midweek.
Nick Warhurst (two), Jack Flanagan and Ellis Foreshaw netted for Uppermill.
Hollinwood reserves beat their Royton Town counterparts 6-1 in Division Two. The hosts' scorers were Michael Shepherd (five) and Daniel Browne.
