Sheila shoots to trophy success

SHEILA Waterhouse won the Grandmothers Trophy at WERNETH by a five-shot margin. 
She shot 97-26-71 to triumph and also win a second prize as the event doubled up as an EWGA medal. 
Runner-up in the Grandmothers Trophy was Pat Grant (102-26-76) while third was Sally Newton (112-35-77). 
In the EWGA medal, the first division runner-up was Fiona Dooley (77-4-73) from Heather Jeffreys (93-18-75). 
The second division sweeps went to Gail Rowbotham (110-34-76) and Sally Newton (112-35-77). 
Pam Taylor (98-24-74) took top spot in an EWGA medal at SADDLEWORTH from second-placed Sandra Hague (100-25-75). 
Barbara Shuttleworth claimed first place in a nine-hole Stableford run in conjunction with the medal scoring 14 points, the same as runner-up Barbara Seger. 
Sheila Cooper (100-30-70) had a whopping 12 shot margin of victory in another EWGA medal from second-placed Julie Ward (105-23-82). 
There was also a nine-hole Stableford run alongside the competition and that was won by Eileen Waddington (20pts) from second-placed Debra Cockburn.
