Oldham fitness festival, a jazz concert, Saddleworth farmers market, upcoming live bands, toddler sessions, Dick Whittington, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice collections and digital drop in sessions - lots to do for all the family.

Dr Kershaw’s Hospice Unwanted Gifts Month
Did you know you can help the Hospice with your unwanted Christmas gifts? They can be turned into raffle prizes and hampers for events throughout the year so throughout all of January you can drop off your unused gifts at the Hospice reception.

Leave the effort of getting rid of your tree to us here at the Hospice.
Dick Whittington – Fri 12, Sat 13 & Sun 14 Jan, Oldham Coliseum Theatre
Dick Whittington has fabulous costumes, glitz and glamour, silliness and slapstick and hit songs to sing along to. This pantomime appeals to all the family, from kids to not-so-grown-up grown-ups. A great way to spend the day with friends and family.

Live Music: Skaface & The Velocetas – Tara Leisure, doors open 7pm
Skaface are new to Oldham, but probably one of the best live ska acts in the country. A 10-piece ska band, featuring a phenomenal 4-piece brass section playing all the best from Madness, The Specials, The Selecter, The Beat & Bad Manners.
Toddler Time (18 Months – 4 Years) – Royton Library, 10.30am – 11.30am
Share songs, stories and rhymes, props, pop-ups and musical instruments at these fun-packed toddler sessions designed to get your little one singing, dancing, playing and learning.
Go Explorer’s: Sensory fun for 2 to 4 year olds – Gallery Oldham, 10.30am – 11.30am
We encourage some of our youngest visitors to explore the world using creative methods from singing, movement, play and getting messy! Everyone is welcome.
Hack Oldham: Website Surgery – Hack Oldham, 12noon – 2pm

The Oldham Leisure Centre Active centres will be holding a 1 day only Fitness Festival where you can take part in our range of fun activities with friends and family. Activities include pilates, legs, bums and tums taster sessions, swim and splash sessions, gym challenges as well as the new Les Mills bodypump release, plus much more!
Saddleworth Live: Profoundly Blue – Millgate Arts Centre, 7.30pm
A concert celebrating the music of Louisiana born clarinettist Edmond Hall, the Swing and New Orleans Jazz legend.
Hack Oldham: Digital Drop In – Hack Oldham, 10am – 3pm
A chance to get help with you basic IT questions, bring in your device for advice and tips, or get advice on what kind of device will suit your needs.
Dr Kershaw’s Hospice ‘Caring Hands’ – Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, 11am
Dr Kershaw's Hospice is to hold a second recruitment day for its new ‘Caring Hands’ community care initiative. Could you make a difference?

Saddleworth Farmers’ Market – Saddleworth Museum, 9am – 2pm
If you like local produce and fresh meat, then Saddleworth Farmers Market is for you! The market is held on Uppermills Museum car park, and there usually a special exhibition for market day.
