The Uppermill Civic Hall welcomes The Gin Society this weekend

Gin lovers are being invited to celebrate Valentines Day in style by getting along to The Gin Society’s annual Saddleworth festival this weekend.

Another eagerly-anticipated gin journey is in prospect, where fans can discover the delights of 120 gins, plus a changing range of guest gins from the classic to the contemporary.

Sample what’s on offer at the exclusive Tasting Station – at the popular Uppermill Civic Hall venue - where staff will treat you to a taste of some exciting new flavours.

Sparkle at the prosecco cocktail bar where you can choose from a range of prosecco cocktails, featuring fabulous fruit flavours.

Marvel at the skills of our visiting distillers who will reveal secrets of how their gin began.

Also, why not relax to the mellow sounds from the decks of our DJs whose vintage sounds will soothe you as you sip.

Sessions take place on Friday (16th) from 6-10.30pm and then on Saturday between 12noon-4.30pm and 6-10.30pm.

Tickets permit entrance to the festival at the time and date stated on the ticket under the ‘Ticket Type’ section.

You do have to be aged 18 or over to be permitted entrance to the festival.

On arrival, front of house staff will give you a brief introduction to the event, and your very own, limited edition, The Gin Society gin glass along with a Gin Guide booklet, describing all the different gins you can try as well as recommended mixers and garnishes.

You’ll then be able to purchase Gin Vouchers that come in values of £5, £10 or £20.

Standard single gins (25ml) are £5 with mixer and garnish. The Prosecco Gin cocktails are £10 (200ml).

And then you are good to go and explore our world of gin.

Each event also features a number of guest gins – just ask bar staff for recommendations.
