Man stabbed in the head outside Oldham nightclub

A man is said to be recovering after being stabbed in the head outside an Oldham night club over the weekend.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident outside Liquid and Envy nightclub during the early hours of Saturday morning with the victim said to have been attacked with a screwdriver.

The 21-year old was taken to hospital for treatment however his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Officers say they were called to Retiro Street at around 2.30am on Saturday (March 24) to reports that an unknown person had assaulted the 21-year old victim.

The man suffered a small wound to his head after being attacked with what police have described as a “screwdriver-like implement.”

Investigations are still ongoing with police appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.
