Three teenagers have been charged in connection with an attempted murder at the Freehold Metrolink stop
Three teenagers have been charged in connection with an attempted murder at the Freehold Metrolink stop in Chadderton.
The 15-year-olds – who cannot be named for legal reasons – will appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday) after they were remanded in custody.
Two have been charged with attempted murder, section 18 assault and attempted section 18 assault.
The third has been charged with section 18 assault and attempted section 18 assault.
At 9.50pm on Thursday, March 8, police were called to Freehold Metrolink Stop on Block Lane, Chadderton, to reports that a man had been attacked by a group.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A fourth 15-year-old boy – arrested yesterday (Monday) – remains in custody being questioned by officers.
