Taxi driver threatened with a firearm in Chadderton

A man has been arrested after a taxi driver was threatened with a firearm in Chadderton.
Armed police were scrambled to Burnley Lane, to reports a man was making threats with a firearm shortly after 6.45am this morning (Tuesday).
Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and making threats to kill.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Witnesses reported a seeing police cars and armed officers parked along Burnley Lane for around an hour.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that no firearm was recovered.
