Police search for missing teenager

Date published: 03 September 2018

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing teenage girl from North Devon who it is believed could be in Manchester.

A police spokesperson said: “Ellie Palmer-Welsh is 13-years-old and has not been seen since Thursday afternoon (August 30) at her home in Barnstaple.

“She is described as white, slim, under 5ft tall, green eyes, brown hair worn in a ponytail and was wearing black jeans, a grey t-shirt and a pink sweater.

“Ellie has links to locations across Devon, but Police have reason to believe that she may have travelled to Manchester by train.

“The police and her family are concerned for her safety, and are desperate to hear from her to ensure she is ok.

"If Ellie see’s this appeal, please contact your family or the police and let us know that you are safe.”

Police have released two images. One of which is a CCTV still which shows Ellie on the North Bound Platform at Tiverton Parkway Train Station at 7.27pm on Thursday.

If anyone knows of the whereabouts of Ellie or has seen her since yesterday, we ask that they contact Devon and Cornwall Police by calling 999 quoting log number 711 for August 30th.
